Our Purpose

Rural Empowerment Association for Community Help (REACH), a 501c3 organization, was formed to address problems stemming from mental and emotional oppression, economic inadequacies, employment and education needs, lack of single family housing, racial and cultural imbalances, and limited youth programs and services. REACH's goal is to assist Duplin County residents in achieving a higher social and economic way of living, and thus, realizing and enjoying a better quality of life.

Our Mission

Many low-income families are often denied the opportunity to pursue their dreams. REACH, a community organization made up for citizens who sincerely care and are willing to assist others in becoming empowered, proposes to help people create and achieve life goals.

Our Vision

REACH has a vision that all citizens in Duplin County be personally and economically empowered. Not only will they have their basic human needs met, they will also have equal opportunities and access to quality education, employment, housing, recreation, and programs for youth. Through building a strong coalition of citizens from all walks of life REACH collaborates to empower each other and the entire community.
